It takes special people to work in animal rescue centres. There is the joy of spending time with animals, there’s the elation of saving an animal and rehoming an abandoned pet. But there’s always the prospect of sadness when things don’t work out. This is so much worse when animals have to be turned away.
We only support genuine animal charities that have a no kill policy.
By doing this we know we are supporting people that are making decisions in the best interests of the animal. The same decision that you would make if you were there.
From the £5.00 per month donation, to the very generous gifts, and of course the legacy bequests. Your money will be used to support the work of these wonderful people to save and improve lives. Where an animal can be saved, or be rehomed, the charities we support will not give up hope. They will open their doors, provide loving care and no animal will be needlessly euthanised.
We didn’t think the situation could get worse. The pressures on wildlife from development and flooding, together with family pets being abandoned or worse has put even more pressure on animal rescue centres.
All this is resulting in rescue centres closing or turning animals away.
